Keeping it Fresh
It is impossible for anyone to relate as an equal while perceiving himself as a superior, relating to, and ‘hidden’ from, an inferior. Those two different premises of relating make any real, genuine communication impossible. It is like operating in two different universes. Perhaps this is why psychiatrists used to call themselves ‘alienists.’ Perhaps it is also why many of their patients still think they must be talking to ‘aliens.’ They sure don’t seem like they are from THIS planet and often seem to have no idea at all what real life is actually like here.
